If only Jayasuriya and Bravo start playing up to their potential, imagine how good the Mumbai Indians can be…
If they find their form, I cant think of a reason why Mumbai Indians will not win the IPL this year.
They have been nothing short of phenomenal. They were the first team to qualify for the the semi finals. Their game yesterday didn’t reflect a casual approach whatsoever despite already being there.
And ‘15, 30, 38, 24, 21, 45’- reflects a team effort? It’s good to see that the team doesn’t rely only upon Tendulkar. I think the Mumbai Indians have the best non-famous Indian batting duo in form of Ambati Raydu and Sourav Tiwari who have been consistent throughout the tournament. Some might feel CSK’s duo of Badrinath and Murali Vijay surpass these two, however, I still believe Tiwari and Rayudu have won more hearts!
KP was Breathtaking…
Kieron Pollard answered his critics yesterday bombarding 45 runs of just 13 balls. Just for those who didn’t notice his strike rate was 346! This should give him a lot of confidence. The Ambani’s would be glad having seen their costliest purchase producing big hits!
They Still Have More in the Tank
Just like Mathew Hayden, I believe Jayasuriya too will fire in the upcoming matches. I was glad to see Dilhara Fernando play for the side. That would strengthen the bowling line up alongside Zaheer Khan, Malinga and Harbhajan Singh. Not to forget, JP Duminy is back in some form. The most of us have forgotten how sensational he was in the IPL season 2!
With players like Pollard, Duminy back in form, if only…Jayasuriya and Bravo deliver even 50% of what they are renowned for, the team can give their captain a memorable gift (Tendulkar’s birthday-24th April) for a lifetime!
How good would that be?

nice analysis, must say!
However, I firmly believe that, ICC should have some control of IPL. When there is so much money, glamour, and hype, you can not allow some individuals to control the whole international cricket. I don’t know, when ICC will wake up and decide to do something about it. I hope it happens before its too late to save international cricket.
