In the penultimate episode of this season of The Sledge the show takes a bizarre and irreverent twist, fronted up by Nicko’s confession of cricket geekiness.

The Australian domestic season so far is reviewed and the remaining Ryobi Cup and Sheffield Shield games previewed.

Jonathan Howcroft and Murray Middleton review 2012 by partaking in what can only be described as “cricket speed dating”.

You can find The Sledge on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, or if you’re slightly more old-fashioned, you can shoot them an e-mail. Episodes of The Sledge also air weekly in Australia on Melbourne’s C31 on Tuesday nights.

While I would take issue with the idea that cricket is an inherently “manly” game (see my blog womenincricket.blogspot.com for more info…), I can’t believe that girl in the bar wasn’t interested in a cricketer. Cricketers are some of the sexiest males on the planet – especially the ones who are really, really geeky about it. Madness!
