Who Else Loves Herschelle Gibbs? – Watch Him Smash A Century and Seal The ODI Series Win

0 Comments 14 April 2009

Here at World Cricket Watch we f’king love Herschelle Gibbs. Who could forget his knock in the greatest ever ODI when South Africa chased down 435. Thank God he has rediscovered his form from yester year, hitting his first ODI century in more than a year and sealing an ODI series win for the Saffers. His batting style is nothing short of  brutal and the way he converts 50s into hundreds (36 fifties, 21 hundreds) is what Mark Nicholas would call ‘fantastic’.

Herschelle Gibbs smashed his 21st one-day international century (110)  to guide South Africa to an unassailable 3-1 lead. AB De Villiers smashed 84 as South Africa’s 317 proved too great for Australia. Roelof Van der Merwe playing his third one-day international again troubled the middle order and finished with 3 for 46 as Australia went from 129-0 to 256 all out. Steyn took 4-44. 4th ODI, Port Elizabeth, Apr 2009.
